Ways to Participate

Volunteer

Our events are only possible through the generous participation of our Board and Members. Offer your time, ideas, and skills in service of our clay community, while fostering a connection with other members. Email us for more information.

Write for the blog or newsletter

Each member has expertise to share. If you'd like to write an article about techniques, new work, discoveries, a museum visit, philosophy, studio flow, or other clay-related topics, please send us your idea through the Article submission form, and we will consider it for inclusion on the website or newsletter.

Attend a Board meeting

Board meetings are open to all members! Attending is a great way to connect with the WCA and our Board volunteers. Currently board meetings are being held online via zoom, please see the Monthly Meeting for details on the next meeting. Read more about Board members.

Join the Board

Commit even further by joining the WCA Board! Work closely with other Board members to direct the growth of this vital organization. Make connections with the broader ceramics community as we reach out to create social gatherings, exhibition opportunities, and educational events. Lend your time and skills to build momentum and excitement with in the Washington Clay Arts Association.

If you're interested in joining the WCA Board, start by learning about the current Board roles and needs. Keep in mind that we expect to get to know you through your participation in several meetings and events. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
